DAY WALK : Distance 7 miles
MEET : 9.30am near the Bell Inn
Main Street, East Langton LE16 7TW
NB : Due to limited daylight for the time of year, we need to start walking ASAP from
9.30am and we may have to shorten the walk if our progress is slow.
ROUTE : From East Langton, we follow the Leicestershire Round path to Thorpe Langton.
Then up the hill to Langton Caudle. From the top we take a South Westerly track to
Welham and walk along the Great Bowden Lane to connect with a bridle path to the road
South of Thorpe Langton, rejoining the Leicestershire Round back to
East Langton. MAP : OS Explorer 233 Leicester and Hinckley
TERRAIN : Moderate with one substantial hill, Langton Caudle
REFRESHMENTS : Bring a packed lunch, also we hope to have a drink at the end of the walk in the Bell Inn
